Sh'or Yoshuv Institute
-
located in Far Rockaway, NY, was founded over 30 years ago by Rabbi Shlomo Freifeld, with 18 students. Today, the Yeshiva has an enrollment of over 150 young men from all over the globe and from a broad range of Jewish backgrounds including; the novice, the advanced Talmudic scholar, the Baal Teshuva, and the Yeshiva educated youth. Its community of over 300 families, has greatly influenced the greater community and dramatically improved the demographics of Far Rockaway. After graduating from Sh'or Yoshuv, these young men go on to hold prominent positions in Jewish communities throughout the world in areas of Jewish education, business and professional fields.
